Kids' Whirled: Kubo and the Two Strings [PG]

Welcome to our new "Stories and Tales" season inspired by World Book Day in March. We start with striking animation Kubo and The Two Strings.

Kubo is a young boy living in a small, seaside village in ancient Japan who enjoys telling stories to the local residents. However, this peaceful existence is suddenly shattered when a vengeful spirit of the past resurfaces. To overcome the gods and monsters which pursue him – including the Moon King and the evil twin Sisters – Kubo must locate the magical suit of armor previously worn by his deceased father, a legendary samurai warrior. Joining forces with Monkey and Beetle, Kubo embarks upon a quest to uncover the secret of his legacy in order to fulfil his destiny. The fourth film from animation studio LAIKA, this is a gorgeously-designed, fantastical adventure.
